Nobody is blessed with perfect skin. Everybody needs to take care of their skin to keep it looking fresh and blemish-free. There are times when our skin will develop pimples or acne. When this happens, there are different ways to remove acne. However, acne may leave behind dark spots on your face. But, products like micro dart patches can be a solution to this problem.

What Are Dark Spots?

To get rid of dark spots, it is first important to know what they are.  Dark spots are also known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and are formed when cells with too much melanin or pigment replace the damaged skin caused by pimples.

These dark spots tend to become lighter over time and may completely disappear three months to 2 years from when they first appeared. However,  you don’t need to wait for them to vanish from view. There are a lot of ways to get rid of dark spots caused by pimples. Some home remedies have been known to be effective in removing dark spots. Likewise, dermatology products such as micro dart patches are effective in getting rid of acne blemishes quickly.

Home Remedies

Several people claim that home remedies are effective in getting rid of dark spots. Unfortunately, most of these home remedies only have anecdotal evidence to support their claim of effectiveness. Nevertheless, there is no harm in giving these remedies a try.

  • Lemons: The citric acid found in lemons has been known to lighten dark spots. When using lemons, rub pure lemon juice on the dark spot and leave it for at least 30 mins before rinsing.
  • Aloe Vera: If you research online, you will find that aloe vera is usually found in different dermatology products. Aloe is an effective healing agent, and prolonged usage of aloe can stabilize the skin’s melanin levels, creating a balanced skin colour.
  • Grape Seed Extract: Grape seed extract is also used to lighten dark spots caused by pimples. Grape seed extract can be applied topically on the affected area of the skin or may be taken orally in capsule form.

While you can easily use these home remedies, they are not 100% effective in getting rid of dark spots. If you want a more effective solution for eliminating your hyperpigmentation, it is best to use dermatology products.

Micro Dart Patches

Micro darts are tiny round translucent patches that you stick to your face to cover dark spots that result from pimples. Underneath these patches are several micro darts made up of hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and other skin-loving ingredients.

The principle behind the micro dart patch is simple, the darts will penetrate the pores of your skin and will serve as a delivery system to dispatch the necessary chemical compounds that will work to reduce the melanin levels of the area. The minuscule darts will then dissolve gradually to release the active ingredients.

Advantages of Using Micro Darts

While you may get vitamin C and hyaluronic acid on your own and apply them topically on your dark spots, they may not be as effective as using micro dart patches. Micro darts penetrate the first two layers of your skin, which means that the active ingredients are released where they are supposed to go. This means that you are not wasting any active ingredient that may not seep into your skin or maybe wiped off when your face rubs on your pillow as you sleep.

While home remedies can be effective in removing acne dark spots, their results are not always guaranteed. If you want to get rid of acne dark spots once and for all, you may use micro dart patches.
